About Me

I specialize in the sub-fields of comparative politics and international relations with additional experience teaching American politics, political theory, comparative ideologies, public policy, and quantitative political science research methods. My research interests include populism/extremism, parties and party systems, religion and politics, text analysis, and political science pedagogy. My dissertation research combines human and computer-based coding of political speeches and party manifestos to determine the presence and impact of populism on parties and publics in several Western democracies.
